February 9, 2023 Release

The following items will be deployed on February 9, 2023. Please note that this list doesn’t include other internal and regular maintenance work that BenchPrep is releasing.

New Features

Course Configuration now available

In the interest of improving learner experiences and providing more flexibility to Content Managers when designing and updating courses, we are excited to introduce the ability to configure the learner experience via our new Course Configuration feature.

This functionality will enable BluePrint Admins to tailor the learner experience for all BenchPrep courses. This will power additional use cases within your learning programs via multiple course-level feature accesses, many of which have previously been managed by BenchPrep only. Now, within the Configuration section within BluePrint courses, users can toggle certain features for individual courses, allowing for greater flexibility in creating a better learner experience.

Utilize this new capability beginning February 9th. The Knowledge Base will be updated by that date to guide you, and we will share more information in an email after next week’s release.

New “Hide Confidence Level” option within Lessons

We have added a "Hide Confidence Level" option within Lessons in BluePrint to allow Content Managers to have more control over which Lessons require learners to mark their confidence level. Allowing for this level of customization enables Content Managers to choose to exempt individual Lessons from requiring a confidence level to support the use of using Lessons for non-instructional content, such as information about the platform or bibliography pages. This feature will not be present for lesson edit and creation when the ‘Hide Confidence Level’ feature access is turned on at a course level.

This new feature is accessible via BluePrint at the bottom of each Lesson’s edit screen within the ‘Danger Zone.’

Enhancements

Improved course reset experience to now include external assets

Customer tenants that leverage externally-hosted assets, including Skillable Labs and SCORM packages, will now have progress within these assets during a course reset. Previously, full course reset functionality did not include a reset of externally-hosted assets. This update provides a better user experience for learners whose course has been reset.

Essay grades and feedback can now be modified post-submission

Essay-grading Admins can now edit essay feedback and essay grades on previously submitted essays within BenchPrep’s Essay Tool. With this update, Admins have more control over grading and learner feedback, and learners will receive a notification that their essay has been updated.
