April 13, 2023 Release

The following items will be deployed on April 13, 2023. Please note that this list doesn’t include other internal and regular maintenance work that BenchPrep is releasing.

New Features

Course configuration toolset now available in BluePrint

We are excited to release the first phase of our flexible new course configuration toolset. BluePrint now includes self-service, course-level configuration options for Content Managers via BluePrint’s improved Navigation Menu. The Navigation Menu allows for Content Managers to display, hide, and rearrange learning modalities to customize the learning experience at the course level.

Additionally, two new feature accesses, ‘Study Plan Calendar,’ and ‘Knowledge Points’ are also available for Content Managers to further enable precision-tailored learning experiences. When ‘Study Plan Calendar’ is turned on, learners will be able to use the calendar to set their Study Plan target date. When ‘Knowledge Points’ is turned on, learners will see references to Knowledge Points throughout the Study Plan. Both feature accesses will be defaulted to on, and can be configured by BluePrint admins. Visit the article here for more information on how to manage these feature accesses.

If "Knowledge Points" and "Study Calendar" features are enabled, learner's will see the "Today's Knowledge Goal" bar.  If either feature access is turned off, it will be hidden from the Study Plan.

Course configuration is available at the course level, and enables Content Managers to customize each course differently to fit their needs – providing improved control and flexibility, a more tailored learning experience for learners, and enabling organizations to power more learning use cases from a single platform.

Enhancements

Course creation enhancement within categories

We’ve updated the logic for content managers when creating a category for new content. Previously, users could only create a child category when creating content. Now, BluePrint users are able to select an existing parent category, create a parent category, and/or create a child category directly within a new modal popup. This enhancement provides an improved user experience for BluePrint users and enables more seamless self-service content creation.

Update to randomization logic within practice and exam review sections

We’ve updated the randomization logic so that learners will now see questions presented in the order in which they took them within both practice and exam review sections. These features enable a more uniform learning experience, and can be turned on by enabling ‘Randomize Exam Questions Order’ and ‘Randomize Practice Questions Order.’
