September 4, 2025 Blog Feature

September 4, 2025

The following items will be deployed on September 4, 2025. Please note that this list doesn’t include other internal and regular maintenance work that BenchPrep is releasing.

New Features and Enhancements

Smarter Filtering Across Bookmarks and Notes

Sort & Filter Bookmarks and Notes
Learners can now organize their Bookmarks and Notes across Practice Questions, Tests, and Lessons by category, confidence level, bookmark status, and more, with sortable columns and keyword search for faster review.

Fine-Tune Question Review with Multi-Criteria Filters
A new filter panel in the Question Review table lets learners narrow down questions by multiple criteria like correctness, difficulty, type, confidence, category, and bookmark status. Filters are easy to apply and reset, and can be customized for learners.

Better Course Navigation for Practice Landing Pages

When “Practice” is set as a course’s landing page, it will now open the same page as the Practice link in the left navigation, dynamically adjusting based on feature access:

  • Practice Dashboard if only Category Practice is enabled
  • Custom Practice Session page if only Custom Practice is enabled
  • Practice Selection page if both are enabled

This ensures learners always land on the right practice experience, creating a more consistent and intuitive course flow.

Better In-Course Event Registration & Registrant Management

Learners can now register for in-course events by clicking a new Register button, making it easy to confirm attendance.

Admins can then view and manage these registrants in Console, with options to search, sort, export, and paginate the list. Only users who have interacted with the Register button will appear in this list. Reach out to your CSM to have this feature turned on.

Together, these updates make it easier for learners to commit to events and for admins to track and report on event participation.

Restrict Copy/Paste in WebApp

A new feature access setting, “Prevent copy/paste function in Webapp”, now allows admins to restrict copy/paste functionality in the WebApp, preventing learners from copying question and answer content from practice quizzes and exams. By controlling this setting, organizations can protect their intellectual property and ensure assessment content stays within the platform.

Bulk User Reactivation and Deactivation Permissions

Admins (and other roles with the proper permission) can now reactivate users in bulk in two ways: by uploading a CSV file or by selecting multiple users in the Console and choosing Activate from the edit state menu. Previously, users could only be reactivated one at a time.

This update makes it faster and easier for organizations—especially those with learners who take multiple classes over time—to bring deactivated learners back into the system. A new Deactivate User permission also gives organizations more flexibility in controlling which roles can deactivate users.

Standard Reports Update

We’ve updated the Practice Session and Exam Results standard reports to return data from the last 30 days, rather than full historical sets.

These updates make reports faster to generate and help admins focus on the most current and meaningful data. By emphasizing recent activity, admins can more easily identify learner engagement patterns, knowledge gaps, and success rates in real time.

Standard Reports | Permission to allow running Standard Reports in Console

This ticket proposes the creation of a new tenant-level permission, "Access Standard Reports", that can be added to custom roles. This will allow more granular access control and let organizations define roles that can run reports from the Standard Reports tab without granting full admin access.

Collapsible Question Categories in Practice Module

The LX25-enabled Practice module now supports collapsible question categories for a more compact and modern experience. Categories display with a left-aligned expand/collapse icon that controls the visibility of subcategories, with clear visual feedback across four key states: default, hover, expanded, and collapsed.

This update makes it easier for learners to navigate practice categories, while maintaining consistent and responsive behavior across devices. Category names remain clickable, allowing learners to drill into the Review Category screen for detailed question-level insights.

Enable or Disable System-Generated Emails in Console

Admins with the proper permissions can now view a full list of system-generated emails in Console and enable or disable them individually or in bulk. This gives organizations greater flexibility to control which messages go out to learners and ensures communication stays clear and intentional.
