A new Exam Report tab that provides a view of aggregated exam performance across all courses in their scope from a single report is now available in group and branch analytics. This eliminates the need to pull individual course-level reports manually.
To turn on this new report, go to Feature Access > Analytics and turn on “Exam Report” under the Groups and Branch categories.
We've added active enrollment counts to the course-level rollup data in Course Reports — User Reporting, giving admins a clearer picture of engagement across their course catalog.
This metric makes it easier to gauge how many learners with enrollment activity are participating in each course. The active user count is hidden by default and can be enabled through Feature Access.
Admins now have the ability to turn the "Categories with Most Incorrect Questions" widgets on or off at their discretion, giving organizations more control over which analytics are surfaced to their users.
These controls apply to both widgets—one on the Course Report > Exam tab and one on the Course Report > Practice tab, as well as the corresponding widgets on the User Report > Course view.
We now offer a new BYOK model for OpenAI that gives you more flexibility and greater cost control.
Organizations with their own OpenAI account can connect an API key to AI Assistant, allowing usage and token costs to be managed directly through their OpenAI account. BenchPrep will continue to manage the AI Assistant experience, including the model used by the application.
Organizations using BYOK are responsible for maintaining their OpenAI account, API key, usage limits, and required account settings to ensure continued access to AI Assistant.

AI Assistant can now use video transcripts as a source when answering learner questions. When a lesson, practice question, or flashcard includes a video with an associated transcript (.vtt file), AI Assistant can reference that content to provide more complete and accurate responses.
Instructors and administrators can now create reusable assignment templates to quickly build structured assignments for new learner cohorts.
Templates use relative dates, allowing authors to define task schedules once and automatically generate assignment timelines by selecting a cohort start date. Once a template is used, instructors receive a fully editable copy that can be customized with learners, collaborators, release dates, and other assignment settings.
This streamlines recurring assignment creation, reduces manual setup, and helps deliver consistent learning experiences across cohorts.

Admins can now organize assignment tasks into named groups within the assignment creation flow, adding a cleaner layer of structure to how content is presented to learners.
Groups sit above individual tasks and can be created, named, and reordered using drag-and-drop, following the same pattern as study task groups. This makes it easier to build assignments with logical sections or phases, and the groupings are reflected directly in the learner-facing assignment view.
The assignment stepper now supports question category assignments, giving admins more precise control over which content learners can access within practice questions and tests.
Question categories can now be assigned and locked alongside the existing content modalities — lessons, practice questions, tests, and flashcards — directly within the stepper. This allows teams to scope assignments to specific topic areas without requiring learners to navigate outside their designated content.
We've improved flashcard category filtering to provide a cleaner, more intuitive experience for both learners and content managers.
Parent categories are now collapsible, with subcategories neatly nested underneath to reduce clutter. You can select an entire parent category—including all associated subcategories—or expand it to choose individual subcategories as needed.
These enhancements make flashcards easier to browse, organize, and manage across both Learning Hub and BluePrint.
Custom Practice now includes a Tag Breakdown tab on the dashboard and tag-level review within session review, giving learners a more detailed view of their performance across content tags.
These updates make it easier for learners to identify patterns in their practice results and understand which topic areas need the most attention. This release also includes a fix for forward question navigation in review when ExamSim is enabled.

The Scaled Scoring results page has been updated to present score information in a clearer, more intuitive order and layout.
"Scaled/Predicted Score” now appears immediately after "% Correct" in the score summary, reflecting its importance as a key performance indicator. Subcategory scores are now grouped under their parent category in collapsible accordions, reducing visual clutter and making it easier to drill into specific areas of performance.
The spreadsheet supports basic editing and formula functionality, making it easier to solve spreadsheet-based and calculation-heavy questions while keeping work alongside the question. This feature is available wherever the Spreadsheet tool is enabled.
To configure Spreadsheet in Toolbox, turn it on in Feature Access. Then, go to Course Configuration in the desired course to turn it on for Lessons, Practice Questions, and/or Test Sections.
