New Features and Enhancements

BenchPrep Analytics

Introducing Custom Reports: New report listing page

We’re introducing Custom Reports, a new capability that allows associations to tailor dashboards built to meet their specific data and workflow needs.

As part of this release, we’ve added a dedicated reports listing page where end users can easily view and access all available reports. This page displays key details like report name and description, supports tenant-specific availability, and clearly distinguishes custom reports from standard, out-of-the-box reports.

Admin control for table columns

We’ve expanded admin control over reporting tables with new column customization options.

Admins can now choose which columns appear in tables and rearrange their order to better fit their reporting needs. A new Customize option within feature access opens a modal where available columns can be toggled on or off and reordered—top to bottom corresponds to left to right in the table.

This update gives admins more flexibility to tailor reporting views and focus on the data that matters most.

User IDs now available across reporting tables

We’ve added User ID as an optional column across key reporting areas, including the Group Detail Report and several Course Report tables. This update gives admins another way to identify and track learners in reports, making it easier to support internal reporting workflows, reconcile data across systems, and work with large user datasets.

Improved User Exam Attempts chart clarity

We’ve updated the User Exam Attempts bar chart to make it easier to interpret.

Attempt data is now clearly labeled (e.g., Attempt 1, Attempt 2), with improved indicators when only recent attempts are shown. We’ve also refined the color usage to avoid implying performance.

Data shown in the chart is now consistent with the Exam Attempts summary below, ensuring a more accurate and reliable view.

Search courses by name in Course Reports

We’ve added a search bar to Course Reports, making it easier to quickly find specific courses.

Admins can now search by course name directly within the report, helping streamline navigation and reduce time spent scrolling through large datasets.

Improved visibility for selected filters

Selected filters (such as groups) are now clearly displayed in the UI after being applied, helping users quickly confirm the context of the data. Filters remain visible and accessible, and can be easily removed or updated directly from the interface.

We’ve also improved the filter selection experience within modals, making it easier to locate and review previously selected values. These updates provide a more transparent and intuitive reporting experience, reducing confusion and improving confidence in report data.

New category-based practice reporting

We’ve enhanced practice reporting to give instructors deeper visibility into learner performance by category.

In addition to existing metrics, reporting now includes performance based on total available questions per category, not just questions attempted. This provides a more complete view of learner progress and supports use cases like grading, where performance is measured against all available content.

This update makes it easier for instructors to evaluate mastery at a category level and align reporting with real-world grading workflows.

AI Assistant

Unified UI updates across navigation, history, and feedback

We’ve rolled out a series of UI improvements to the AI Assistant, delivering a more modern, consistent experience across the new right-panel layout.

The updated top navigation bar now includes the assistant icon and name, along with quick actions for History, New Conversation, and Close. The assistant’s configured color is also reflected for a more cohesive look.

The History experience has been redesigned to live within the right panel, making it easier to view, resume, and manage past conversations. Users can now filter, delete individual or all conversations, and quickly return to active chats, all within a streamlined interface.

We’ve also updated the feedback panel to improve usability and clarity. Users can now select structured feedback categories, optionally add comments, and receive clearer confirmation after submission.

These updates are available across web and mobile, creating a more intuitive and consistent experience when interacting with the AI Assistant.

BluePrint

Control how Study Task links open

We’ve introduced more flexibility for URL Study Tasks in Blueprint, allowing better control over how links open for learners.

Links to BenchPrep content can now open in the same tab, creating a more seamless navigation experience within a course. External links will continue to open in a new tab, preserving the existing behavior for outside resources.

This update helps reduce unnecessary tab switching and keeps learners focused as they move through their study tasks.

New Question Type: Cloze (Fill-in-the-Blank)

A new Cloze question type is now available in BluePrint, allowing authors to create more interactive, realistic questions by embedding dropdown, text, and numeric blanks directly within content.

Authors can define answer options inline with a live preview, including multiple acceptable responses. Learners complete all blanks within a single question, which is graded as correct only when all responses are accurate.

Learning Experience (WebApp)

Clearer navigation in test section review

We’ve improved the test section UI in exam and practice review to make it more obvious which elements are clickable.

Test names now include a visual hover effect, providing a clearer indication that they can be selected. This enhancement builds on existing cues like row highlighting and arrow icons, making navigation more intuitive for learners.

Expanded highlight color options in question review

We’ve updated the highlighting experience in practice and exam review to support the full set of available highlight colors.

Previously limited to a single color, learners can now use multiple highlight options when reviewing questions, bringing consistency across study and review experiences.

This update makes it easier to organize and revisit key content in a way that works best for each learner.

Custom Practice: Improved guidance for setup

We’ve enhanced the Custom Practice experience to make it clearer why the Start Practicing button may be disabled.

"All Questions Selected" is now the default option and appears first in the selection list. When learners select the Set Number of Questions option and enter an invalid value, the count is automatically adjusted to the nearest valid option.

These updates help learners quickly identify and fix issues, reducing confusion and making it easier to start practice sessions without friction.
